★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Menu that tries to impress but fails when visited in August 2021 - avoid if possible. We ate 3 dishes and all of them gave impression of something composed or heated from yesterday's preparations without chef in the house. Seeing the good reviews and Michelin rating in the past maybe we just had bad luck.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Andrea was charming and friendly as was the owner. It is a fine dining experience but like being a member of the family. Try their tasting appetizer …so many good flavors …and amazing wine and bread and their special olive oil…highly recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had the by far best experience in whole Sicily at Palazzaccio. We expected the restaurant to be good as it was mentioned in the Michelin guide but still we were blown away. We started with 5 different small appetizers each thoughtfully picked and timed perfectly. I had a well spiced wild pork pasta as a first main course and lamb as a second main course. Both dishes were an astonishing experience in every small detail. The menu was accompanied by a good Sicilian white wine. A local Sicilian dessert ended the perfect dining experience.
This was the best dining experience we ever had.
