★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Struttura immersa nel verde, si accede da un sentiero nel bosco, circa 250 mt., una volta all'interno vedi cose fantastiche, telescopi di ogni forma e dimensione che servono per studiare i fenomeni celesti, stazione meteorologica e di rilevazione dei terremoti.
Poi c'è la vetta, la cupola, regina indiscussa di tutta la visita, dove all'interno viene custodito uno dei più grandi telescopi, dove ricercatori e scienziati studiano, aprendo un'ala della cupola, al di sopra delle nostre teste un qualcosa di magico, etereo quasi irreale. Peccato non aver potuto vedere la magnificenza del cielo, perché al momento della mia visita si presentava nuvoloso.
Ma ci tornerò, e lo consiglio di fare a tutti.

 Structure surrounded by greenery, is accessed by a path in the woods, about 250 mt., Once inside you see fantastic things, telescopes of all shapes and sizes that are used to study the celestial phenomena, meteorological station and earthquake detection.
Then there is the summit, the dome, the undisputed queen of the entire visit, which is kept in one of the largest telescopes, where researchers and scientists study, a wing opening of the dome, above our heads something magical, almost unreal ethereal. Too bad I couldn't see the magnificence of the sky, because at the time of my visit it was cloudy.
But I will be back, and I recommend it to everyone.

Costo 8 euro.... per una serata indimenticabile! Visita all osservatorio e osservazione delle stelle e dei pianeti trAmite telescopi messi a disposizione!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Driving down SP 101 you would never realise there was a meteorological station hidden in the woods. Look for the signs to La Ripa (well worth a visit in itself) and turn in you will see a small sign to your left. They are a fully functional meteorological station and so not always open to visitors but it's worth the trek to ask because they have some pretty powerful equipment. We were lucky to be there on a night when they were open to the public. Through their telescopesWe saw an amazing sight - Jupiter with its 3 moons!
