★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was a fabulous little winery run by a family on the grounds of the father of the famed Mona Lisa. My friend and I ended up here after being turned away from Casa Emma for not having reservations. This place was warm and welcoming, and Sandro, the patriarch, was full of pride and information. I also loved the two large dogs who welcomed us.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic family run organic winery! Some of the best wine we have tasted in this region. The family that own it are refreshingly modest and don't try to impress you with a strong marketing spiel. Rather they let their wines talk for themselves and boy do they speak!! As an added bonus the winery is set in the house that belonged to the father of Monaco Lisa and was in fact part of her dowry!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Seems strange to write that the best part of our wine tour wasn’t the wine. Sandro was a charming and very knowledgeable host. His stories were the perfect accompaniment to his beautiful organic wine selections. Outstanding and thank you Fattoria la Ripa!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic wine tasting experience! We were recommended this place over the others in the area and we were not disappointed. The simple, intimate, casual atmosphere was perfect. The wines are amazing (and you get to taste quite a few!), but most of all, the host's story telling and knowledge sharing was what made the experience that much more memorable. Most definitely the best wine tasting experience we have had. Highly recommended.
