★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Highly recommended restaurant for seafood lovers. The service is impeccable and the food has a slight innovative touch. The chef, or proprietario as he prefers to be called, personally came to our table to introduce himself. Our only issue was that the restaurant allowed a canine to be seated [literally on one of the chairs] at a table. We do not find it fair to hold the restaurant responsible for the actions of others but we did wish the staff would have asked their clientele to correct their behavior.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazingly fresh fish and seafood. Sweet melt in your mouth raw fish and prawns. Out if this world light fritto misto. The list goes on. Each dish is served on a plate, bowl or other vessel looking more like artwork than food ware. Understated professional and knowledgeable service in a casual, non-pretentious yet elegant setting. Small local wine list perfectly tailored to the menu. I would dine there once a week if I lived in Modica!

The place feels like it’s stuck in 1999. Bad decor, odd oversized glass plates, and the food was nothing special. The fish, although fresh and very well cooked was just a bit bland. The only dish that was memorable was the mussel risotto.
Wouldn’t rush back there…

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely one of the best meals we had while in Southeast Italy. The chef is very creative and had inventive ways in serving the seafood. It also happened to be a night when it was slow with guests and we ended up getting extra courses as a result. I would eat here each month if I lived in this part of Sicily. The host also happened to be our server; she was warm, and wonderful in explaining everything. Together they make a great team for this restaurant. If you enjoy seafood and a tasting menu, don't think twice, go here. And the best part was the price, it's very reasonable.

This is my third time at Ornato’s and every time is better and better.
Food is AMAZING, wine selection is fantastic, professional and friendly customer service.
Spectacular location with local art pieces and books ... we will keep going to Ornato’s!!!
