★ ★ ★ ★ ★ L'oratorio, costruito nel '400, è stato modificato in stile barocco nel '600. All'interno si trovano opete della scuola ligure (il Grechetto, G.B. Carlone, Valerio Castello e altri) dedicate alla vita e al l'iconografia di San Giacomo. Non vi sono solo dipinti ma anche una cassa processione di Pellè e un crocifisso della scuola del Maragliano. Meglio visitare l'Oratorio nel pomeriggio quando il sole al tramonto filtra dalle finestre e illumina dall'alto. L'oratorio è aperto alle visite grazie ai volontari dell'Associazione Culturale di Santa Maria di Castello, ogni venerdì 10-13 e 15-18 e al pomeriggio del secondo sabato di ogni mese 15-18.
The oratory, built in the 15th century, was modified in the Baroque style in the 17th century. Inside there are works from the Ligurian school (Grechetto, G.B. Carlone, Valerio Castello and others) dedicated to the life and iconography of San Giacomo. There are not only paintings but also a Pellè procession chest and a crucifix from the Maragliano school. Better to visit the Oratory in the afternoon when the setting sun filters through the windows and illuminates from above. The oratory is open for visits thanks to the volunteers of the Cultural Association of Santa Maria di Castello, every Friday 10-13 and 15-18 and in the afternoon of the second Saturday of each month 15-18.
