β β β β β You will find works of the late 19th and 20 th century at the the National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art. Reserve several hours to view all the works in the museum. In addition to the permanent collection which contains works by 20th century Italian artist and sculptures including Calder, Umberto Boccioni, Alberto Burri, Antonio Canova, Giorgio de Chirico, Amedeo Modigliani, and Giacometti. Special exhibits make visiting this museum a must even if you have had the opportunity to view the works in the permanent collection.

β β β β β Great exposition place with impressive rooms.
Collection is good but there's lack of cultural path with clear trace of the modern art inside the cultural legacy of Italian panorama.
The bookshop has a good collection of children, comics and specific publications.

β β β β β Relatively small for a national museum and mostly filled with Italian artists (which is the point I guess). Beautiful building and a nice collection. Definitely check out the cafe and have an espresso in one of their ultra-fancy cups.

β β β β β It's not crowded, so you can enjoy the artworks comfortably. However, there are very few works by famous artists, and the work itself may not be widely known. Worth a visit if you're nearby.

β β β β β Such a lovely space! Enterence fee is very cheap if you're under 26 (and free for students or art students). The museum provides us with an excellent collection of artworks relised big artists that shaped what we call today "modern art".

β β β β β it was the most erotic museum I've ever visited although there is no such a clue in the name of the museum.
good one overall.
Only thing I want to mention strictly is... look at the green cloted woman sitting on a bench (visuals I uploaded)... who the hell did put that lighting like that? FFS... cmon man... that's a museum with 6k review... I expect a little more proessionalism.

β β β β β A hidden jewel in this town, Rome is unknown for modern art. But this museum is worth a visit. 10 euro only and you can spend 3 hours viewing masterpieces of 2 centuries, incl van gogh, manet, de chirico, F v Stuck, modigliani, many Italians I don't even know about ... the restaurant is amazing , very good and reasonable prices, also with outdoor seating but that is limited to sandwich only. You should stay over lunch for sure. Not to miss is the section on clothes !

β β β β β Wow. Visiting a museum of modern or contemporary art belongs to any of my visits abroad. And Rome has surprised me very much. I will definitely be back once the exhibition is expanded. I would only perhaps welcome some form of a guide map. I felt lost sometimes :) Definitely put this on your list.
