Molto interessante, sia per le mostre, che variano ogni anno, che per la meravigliosa vista dall'alto del giardino della Villa d'Este. Dal museo, scendendo per via Campitelli, si possono osservare le numerose costruzioni medievali del centro storico della città e raggiungere il Santuario di Ercole Vincitore. City Museum. La struttura che ospita il Museo Civico è stato ristrutturato pensando ad esposizioni e razionalizzazione adeguatamente gli spazi. Tutte le opere esposte sono debitamente corredate di indicazioni opportune e la ricchezza degli elementi esposti fa rimanere veramente entusiasti del tempo trascorso tra i piani del museo: archeologia, sculture, ricerca sul territorio, multimedialità. Non posso non elogiare la mostra dedicata a Piranesi con le sue incisioni originali di vedute di Tivoli e Villa Adriana! ...e tutto questo è GRATUITO... Positively surprised in many respects. I cannot fail to praise the exhibition dedicated to Piranesi with its original engravings of views of Tivoli and Villa Adriana! ... and all this is FREE ...

Nelle varie sale è possibile vedere un pezzetto di storia di Tivoli e le fabbriche presenti all'inizio del 1900. Nelle sale del primo piano la mostra Adriano "preservare le memorie" in allestimento fino al 15 settembre. È Interessante vedere come le tecnologie satellitari siano d'aiuto nel preservare i monumenti, in questo caso di Villa Adriana, o permettano di effettuare delle ricostruzioni abbastanza fedeli di quello che avremmo trovato 2000 anni fa.
