Il museo propone un’esperienza interessante di confronto tra i pannelli tradizionali scritti che al primo piano introducono la storia dell’area di Caorle già in età preistorica, con l’esperienza interattiva/sensoriale del piano terra, dove viene presentato il ritrovamento archeologico di un veliero al largo di Caorle, con foto, video, ricostruzioni 3D del veliero a dimensione reale e addirittura una esperienza di realtà virtuale per vedere come hanno visto il sito i subacquei. Sicuramente da visitare, altamente consigliato. Beautiful experience! We have been to the museum with our children and our grandson. The museum offers an interesting experience of comparison between the traditional written panels that on the first floor introduce the history of the Caorle area already in prehistoric times, with the interactive / sensorial experience of the ground floor, where the archaeological discovery of a sailing ship off the coast of Caorle, with photos, videos, 3D reconstructions of the full-size sailing ship and even a virtual reality experience to see how the divers saw the site. Definitely worth a visit, highly recommended.

Aggiungo doverosamente che il personale è gentilissimo, preparato e offrono anche una bella spiegazione del luogo che ospita il museo: una cosa in più non dovuta ma molto apprezzato.

Al piano superiore reperti archeologici della zona di San Gaetano, Lugagnana, Bibione e romani recuperati da una barca affondata al largo di Caorle. Piano inferiore invece dedicato al brigantino Mercurio, affondato dagli Inglesi nella battaglia di Grado del 1812, di cui viene ripercorsa la storia in un video ed è ricostruita la poppa a grandezza naturale e lo scafo in scala 1:2. Tra i reperti recuperati, di notevole interesse uno dei cannoni e lo scheletro di uno degli uomini dell'equipaggio. Il museo merita certamente una visita, anche se forse andrebbe arricchito. Very interesting museum divided into two parts. Upstairs archaeological finds from the area of San Gaetano, Lugagnana, Bibione and Romans recovered from a sunken boat off the coast of Caorle. The lower floor, on the other hand, is dedicated to the brig Mercurio, sunk by the English in the battle of Grado in 1812, whose history is retraced in a video and the full-size stern and the hull in 1: 2 scale are reconstructed. Among the finds recovered, one of the cannons and the skeleton of one of the crewmen are of considerable interest. The museum is certainly worth a visit, although perhaps it should be enriched.

Ci torneremo sicuramente per una visita più lunga perché merita! Particularly interesting exhibition itinerary, well constructed, with skilful use of interactive material, cordial and very capable hospitality and guides. We will definitely be back for a longer visit as it deserves it!

Quiet , as it's only open Friday , Saturday and Sunday , and with strange times , BUT make the effort, really cool museum and excellent staff with knowledge and good English , be nice to them , say hello and you will be rewarded. 10/10 would visit again.
