Il tutto all'interno di un rifugio antiaereo costruito prima dello scoppio della seconda guerra mondiale. Abbiamo avuto la fortuna di essere accompagnati dal direttore del Museo che, oltre ad essere preparatissimo, è accogliente e simpatico e disponibile ad ogni chiarimento (corollato da aneddoti e curiosità). Il giovane accompagnatore ha contribuito molto bene ad impreziosire la visita, con notizie e spiegazioni pressochè sconosciuti a noi messinesi. Vada quindi un plauso pieno a questa attività. Conto di ritornare per apprendere ancora. Full of news and little-known findings. The young guide contributed very well to embellish the visit, with news and explanations almost unknown to us from Messina. Therefore, full approval should be given to this activity. Quanto per la mole di informazioni e curiosità che si scoprono durante la visita guidata. È uno di quei pochi musei guidati ancora dalla passione per la storia, che aiuta a scoprire, rivivere e conoscere le origini del nostro paese. Parcheggio gratuito interno. Personale cordiale. Visita supportata dall'uso di plastici, fotografie e video documentari. Vi raccomando di presentarsi all'apertura perché la visita dura almeno due ore, che durante la visita voleranno, quindi prendetevi tutto il tempo per riscoprire ogni dettaglio di una delle parti di storia italiana più importanti e molto spesso dimenticate. Air-raid shelter of the Second World War put back in place and transformed into a museum with a large space dedicated to the reconstruction of Messina after the earthquake and to the war period.
