Very small, but visit this museum first on your visit to Civita as it will help you understand the rest of your visit much better.

It's worth it, see the museum and offer something for maintaining the place is a pleasure, it's a pity to abandon such an amazing place. Worth to visit, walk, and eat, or maybe spend a weekend to enjoy the sunrise

A must seee place about 95 km from Rome. One could reach here in two ways 1. Take a train from Termini-Orvieto and then take a Cotral from Orvieto to Bagnoregio 2. Take a train Viterbo from Termini (mostly get down at Orte and catch another to Viterbo) then get a Cotral Bus to Bagnoregio. See the schedules in Cotral website. There arent many buses running on this route I guess.!!

little cute almost abandonated medieval village, situated on top of a limestone mountain which is slowly crumbling. Not far from Rome, full of typical restaurants and traditional bar, it's a unmissable destination if you discover that area.

Magical place. I am still not sure if I had a dream or not?

The museum had a lot more information on the problems facing the village and how they were analysing the earthquakes and landslides to work out how best to stabilise the buildings. There was also information on the village's history and that of St Bonaventura, who grew up in the town and went on to be a Papal Legate, humanist scholar and philosopher. Friendly staff too and well worth the €3 entrance fee.
