★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lieu magnifique, l’entrée est gratuite. Le musée est payant mais peu cher, la collection y est riche. Je recommande c’est une belle ballade.
Boutique de souvenirs à ne pas manquer.
Beautiful place, admission is free. The museum is paying but inexpensive, the collection is rich. I recommend it's a nice ride.
Souvenir shop not to be missed.

Spero sia solo un problema momentaneo, ma l'illuminazione dei quadri crea dei pessimi riflessi che non ne permettono una fruizione ottimale. In ogni angolo si pubblicizza la possibilità di godere di informazioni aggiuntive grazie ai Qr code distribuiti in tutto il museo, ma l'assenza di segnale o di un wifi free ad hoc rendono inutile queste migliorie tecnologiche. Pur meritevole di visita, andrebbe sicuramente migliorato
Sin. A place of spectacular finds poorly valued. I hope it is only a temporary problem, but the lighting of paintings creates bad reflections that do not allow it an optimal fruition. Every corner advertising the opportunity to enjoy additional information thanks to QR codes distributed throughout the museum, but the absence of signal or wifi free ad hoc obviate these technological improvements. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Indubbia la qualità di quanto contiene e il prezzo paragonato a ciò veramente irrisorio, ma il servizio offerto è veramente pessimo; chiude alle 18 secondo chi si occupa del posteggio e secondo l'info point all'ingresso del complesso dell'abbazia, ma non per la signora all'ingresso del museo che alle 17.20 è irrimovibile e non ha fatto entrare più nessuno. Da nessuna parte c'è scritto un'orario ultimo di ingresso e nessuno dello staff a cui abbiamo chiesto per essere sicuri ci ha riferito che ne esistesse uno. Per l'appunto se almeno funzionasse il sito del museo e ci fosse qualche indicazione sugli orari/costi prima di arrivare sul posto sarebbe meglio.
Confronto poi imbarazzante se fatto con il vicino museo della 2° armata polacca (quest'ultimo peraltro gratuito a differenza di quello dell'abbazia) che pur chiudendo alla stessa ora (cioè alle 18), alle 18.10 faceva ancora entrare.
Undoubtedly the quality of what it contains and the price compared to what is really ridiculous, but the service offered is really bad; it closes at 6 pm according to whoever takes care of the parking and according to the info point at the entrance to the abbey complex, but not for the lady at the entrance of the museum who at 5:20 is irremovable and has not allowed anyone to enter anymore. Nowhere does it say a deadline for entry and none of the staff we asked to be sure told us that one existed. Precisely if at least the museum site worked and there was some indication on the times / costs before arriving on site it would be better.
An embarrassing comparison if done with the nearby museum of the Polish 2nd Army (the latter, however, free unlike that of the abbey) which, although closing at the same time (ie at 6 pm), still let us enter at 6.10 pm.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great museum full with history starting from ancient Roman remains of Temple of Apollo located on top of the Montecassino, history of St. Benedictus and the monastery, it's destruction during the WW2 and finally the rebuilding.
Museum is located on three floors on the abbey consisting exhibits of several subjects. Entry is on the upper courtyard next to the church entrance. Small souvenier/book shop at the exit.
Well worth a visit.
