★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il museo, raccoglie oggetti d'arte sacra di varie epoche. Nella sezione archeologica è esposto, assieme a materiali rinvenuti nella zona e risalenti al IX sec. a.C. al IV d.C., il busto marmoreo che raffigura l'imperatore Giuliano l'Apostata (331-363 d.C.).
La visita è stata molto interessante e la consiglio a chiunque ami l'arte non solo sacra.
 The museum collects objects of sacred art from various eras. In the archaeological section it is exhibited, together with materials found in the area and dating back to the 9th century. B.C. to the 4th century AD, the marble bust depicting the emperor Julian the Apostate (331-363 AD).
The visit was very interesting and I recommend it to anyone who loves art not only sacred.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il Museo Diocesano ha la sua sede adiacente alla residenza dell’Arcivescovo di Acerenza. Si divide nella parte dedicata al sacro e in una parte archeologica. È ricchissimo di reperti di grande importanza artistica e storica. Si può chiedere la visita guidata oppure si può procedere in autonomia. Ciascuno oggetto esposto è corredato da didascalia. Buona l'illuminazione e ottimo lo stato in cui è tenuto l'intero museo.
The Diocesan Museum has its headquarters adjacent to the residence of the Archbishop of Acerenza. It is divided into the part dedicated to the sacred and an archaeological part. It is very rich in finds of great artistic and historical importance. You can ask for a guided tour or you can proceed independently. Each exhibited object is accompanied by a caption. The lighting is good and the entire museum is in excellent condition.
