I reperti esposti abbracciano un arco cronologico che dal periodo protostorico descrivono l'evoluzione culturale dei popoli che hanno soggiornato nella suddetta area. Set within the nineteenth-century Sgadari palace, the collection offers a varied museum collection that embraces different themes and tastes. Of note is the archaeological section of new accommodation that allows the visitor to have a complete overview of the history of the Gangi area. The exhibits include a chronological arc that from the protohistoric period describes the cultural evolution of the peoples who stayed in the aforementioned area.

Ai piani superiori sono presenti una sezione archeologica relativa agli scavi effettuati presso il sito archeologico di Gangi; una collezione di armi e una collezione di antiche macchine fotografiche. Molto bella la sezione etnoantropologica, un vero e proprio tuffo nella Sicilia contadina degli inizi del 900.
