s	simonetta vernia on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Da ragazzina visitavo molto spesso la Pinacoteca di Todi rappresentava allora un luogo "misterioso e fantastico" per quell'età alla scoperta di opere d'arte, cimeli e opere antiche risalenti agli Etruschi. Allora come oggi la sede è all’ultimo piano dei palazzi del Podestà e del Capitano del Popolo, importanti sono le architetture civili medieval, il museo è stato riaperto al pubblico nel 1997 con una suddivisione in cinque sezioni. La Archeologica: ceramiche attiche a figure rosse e nere, oggetti di uso domestico e di ornamento femminile, bronzetti votivi di stretto legame commerciali tra la Todi romana e la vicina Volsinii (Orvieto). La seconda: monete preromane, greche, romane repubblicane e imperiali, ostrogote, bizantine, medievali e moderne, circa 1475 esemplari, di cui 130 realizzati dalla zecca di Tuder. Ecco le sezioni di tessuti e ceramiche, quest’ultima si trova nella sala decorata con ritratti di uomini illustri di Todi, un affresco della città e il suo territorio del concittadino Pietro Paolo Sensini (1552- 1632 circa) umitamente a quello relativo alla leggenda della fondazione della città di Ignazio Mei di Fabriano. Nella pinacoteca si ammira la grande pala d’altare di Giovanni di Pietro detto lo Spagna, discepolo del Perugino, che raffigura l’Incoronazione delle Vergine, inoltre numerose tele seicentesche testimonianza dei continui rapporti tra la cultura figurativa tuderte e quella di Roma As a young girl I visited quite often the Pinacoteca di Todi then representing a place "mysterious and fantastic" for that age to discover works of art, relics and ancient works dating back to the Etruscans. È raggiugibile in ascensore, a cui si accede sotto il portico dei Palazzi comunali, raggiugendo il quarto piano del Palazzo del popolo. Buona è l'accoglinza e la competenza del personale addetto. The civic museum is very interesting and worth a visit. M	Michele Maione on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delizioso piccolo museo onnicomprensivo diviso in sezioni bene organizzate, ovviamente si parte dalle origini etrusche della città di Todi, si attraversa il medioevo, si passa a frammenti romani tra cui il patronato in bronzo pezzo unico, poi ad un magnifico Cristo, esposto in maniera divina e così via ripercorrendo la magnifica storia della città. T	T.T on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Essendo il museo di un Piccolo paesino, mi aspettavo ci fosse molto meno. Purtroppo però quel poco che c'è non è ben curato, molte teche sono sprovviste di luce, alcune addirittura vuote. La ragazza all'accoglienza molto gentile e solare. Il biglietto costa 5€ a persona, lo si può fare in loco oppure presso l'ufficio turistico in piazza allo stesso prezzo. L'accesso è dai portici della piazza, attraverso l'ascensore, oppure attraverso la grande scalinata del palazzo civico in piazza. Being the museum of a small town, I expected there to be a lot less.
