A place of great art and culture in the city center within easy reach ... possibility to park for free ... ideal place to set up exhibitions and hold conferences ... great professionalism and availability of the managers and the staff all !! sin is closed on Sunday ... but Saturday is open all day ... if you come to Potenza don't miss the stop here ... at the provincial archaeological museum!
M	Manuela Talenti on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Purtroppo non si può dare meno di una stella....altrimenti lo facevo... abbiamo fatto fatica a trovare gli orari di apertura perché c'erano informazioni discordanti...abbiamo telefonato per sicurezza...ci é stato risposto che il giorno dopo sarebbe stato aperto con orario continuato dalle 9.00 alle 19.00....diligentemente il giorno dopo alle 14.30 ci siamo presentati x la visita sentendoci rispondere che il museo era ancora chiuso e che comunque stavano allestendo una mostra e quindi ci era interdetta la fruizione x tutto il pomeriggio !!!!! ASSURDO! Penso che l'allestimento vada programmato, magari , in orari di chiusura al pubblico...noi siamo ripartiti x la nostra vacanza itinerante con l'amaro in bocca...in paesini con musei più piccoli abbiamo trovato molta più disponibilità ed organizzazione....che peccato! E che delusione!!! Unfortunately you cannot give less than one star ... otherwise I did it ... we struggled to find the opening hours because there was conflicting information ... we phoned for safety ... we were told that the the next day it would be open continuously from 9.00 to 19.00 .... diligently the next day at 14.30 we showed up for the visit hearing the reply that the museum was still closed and that in any case they were setting up an exhibition and therefore we were forbidden to use it x all afternoon !!!!! ABSURD! I think that the setting should be planned, perhaps, in times of closing to the public ... we left for our traveling holiday with a bitter taste in our mouth ... in villages with smaller museums we found much more availability and organization. ...what a pity! And what a disappointment !!!

L'orario indicato su Google maps però non è stato aggiornato!! Pubblico una foto dell'orario corretto. Small but interesting museum. Among the finds, the model of a marble temple (with divinity enthroned) by Garaguso stands out. The time indicated on Google maps, however, has not been updated !! I publish a photo of the correct time.

Ottimo l’allestimento è sicuramente invitante il prezzo del biglietto che è molto basso. Insomma, invito a farci un salto perché merita. A pleasant discovery, made during a trip to Potenza. A stone's throw from the cathedral, I came across a summary of the past of Lucania. The set-up is excellent and the ticket price is certainly inviting, which is very low. In short, I invite you to drop by because it deserves.

Al piano terra, la mostra permanente che ospita opere di De Chirico, Mona e La Creta. Nella sala del '900 alcune delle opere di Carlo Levi e Renato Guttuso The Provincial Art Gallery of Potenza is located near the Provincial Archaeological Museum, in the ancient district of Santa Maria and hosts interesting exhibitions. On the ground floor, the permanent exhibition that houses works by De Chirico, Mona and La Creta. Some of the works by Carlo Levi and Renato Guttuso in the 20th century hall
