Ci sono stata nel tardo pomeriggio a luglio, col sole che iniziando a tramontare aumentava ancora di più il fascino del luogo. Consigliato. A fascinating place both from the historical and landscape point of view. I was there in the late afternoon in July, with the sun starting to set further increasing the charm of the place. Recommended.

F	Fabio Katanga on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rovine di antica città romana... purtroppo sono abbandonate, ci sono diversi resti tra cui l'anfiteatro e la base del grande tempio, ma hanno interrotto gli scavi e la messa in sicurezza per i visitatori... comunque è una bella passeggiata in un luogo in mezzo alla natura, silenzioso e con una bella panoramica di tutti i monti intorno... i romani sapevano scegliere i posti migliori... se gestito meglio potrebbe diventare un'attrazione turistica... vicino c'è il castello di Prata D'Ansidonia, anch'esso abbandonato, costruito utilizzando marmi portati via da Pentium e poi anch'esso saccheggiato di diversi marmi, quando iniziarono a costruire il vicino paese di Prata D'Ansidonia... Da qui, ad un'ora di macchina si raggiunge la piana di Campo Imperatore, a mezz'ora c'è L'Aquila, a venti minuti ci sono le grotte di Stiffe (non male).... Ruins of ancient Roman city ... unfortunately they are abandoned, there are several remains including the amphitheater and the base of the great temple, but they have interrupted the excavations and put in safety for the visitors ... however it is a nice walk in a place in the middle of nature, silent and with a beautiful view of all the mountains around ... the Romans knew how to choose the best places ... if managed better it could become a tourist attraction ... nearby there is the castle of Prata D'Ansidonia, also abandoned, built using marble taken from Pentium and then also plundered by several marbles, when they began to build the nearby town of Prata D'Ansidonia ... From here, an hour's drive takes you to the plain of Campo Imperatore, half an hour there is L'Aquila, at twenty minutes there are the caves of Stiffe (not bad) ....

Una visita obbligata se si é amanti dell'archeologia. Consigliato A magnificent place where you can breathe history everywhere. a really suggestive location that will surprise you. S	STEVE BEST on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Usciti dalla strada principale vi si arriva tramite una strada sterrata prima di arrivare al sito archeologico vero e proprio di Peltuinum, il luogo è molto suggestivo e merita una fermata per un piccolo giro, da qui a piedi si arriva sia al sito che alla chiesa di San Paolo. Peccato per l'abbandono e la poca valorizzazione ma merita molto. Once out of the main road, you reach it via a dirt road before arriving at the actual archaeological site of Peltuinum, the place is very suggestive and deserves a stop for a small tour, from here on foot you get to both the site and the church of St. Paul. Too bad for the abandonment and the little valorization but it deserves a lot.
A	Angelo Santospago on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bel posto, ma non valorizzato come meriterebbe. Indicazioni stradali molto vecchie e scarse. Non ci sono strutture ricettive, neanche un chioschetto per una bottiglietta d'acqua o qualcuno a cui chiedere informazioni. Ci sono soltanto delle targhe guida. La strada per raggiungere il luogo è sterrata ed il parcheggio è sul prato. Nice place, but not as valued as it deserves. Very old and poor road signs. There are no accommodation facilities, not even a kiosk for a bottle of water or someone to ask for information. There are only guide plates. The road to reach the place is unpaved and parking is on the lawn.
