L'esperienza è piuttosto strana perché il fortino è spoglio di tutto ma l'ossatura della costruzione, con i grandi blocchi di pietra, è rimasta intatta, spezzata a vista solo dalle radici degli alberi che sono cresciuti qua e là.
Il silenzio e l'atmosfera sono quasi spettrali e la vista dalla torre di avvistamento merita.
Munirsi di scarpe da trekking e tenuta sportiva, i percorsi sono pericolosi e la sicurezza del luogo non è garantita da nessun ente comunale
Funny and particular precisely because it has been abandoned for decades. The experience is rather strange because the fort is stripped of everything but the skeleton of the building, with the large blocks of stone, has remained intact, broken only by the roots of the trees that have grown here and there.
The silence and atmosphere are almost ghostly and the view from the lookout tower deserves.
Bring hiking shoes and sports clothing, the paths are dangerous and the safety of the place is not guaranteed by any municipal authority

Historic site of the Second World War. Outpost for enemy flak. It is a pity that it is reduced with tall grass and a disconnected road to get there, but the view enjoyed is excellent. You can see the whole lagoon and take Santo Stefano

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A circa 40 minuti di cammino da Porto Santo Stefano o 30 minuti dall'Hotel Filippo II. L'accesso è vietato perché alcuni resti dell'edificio sono pericolanti ma rimane uno luogo affascinante, selvaggio e solitario anche se molto vicino alle spiagge affollate.
About 40 minutes walk from Porto Santo Stefano or 30 minutes from the Hotel Filippo II. Access is forbidden because some remains of the building are unsafe but it remains a fascinating, wild and solitary place even though very close to crowded beaches.
