Per una pratica concernente la recente morte di mia madre, avevo bisogno della data di matrimonio dei miei
genitori. Senza troppa fiducia ho telefonato al comune di San Benedetto ed ho trovato una persona meravigliosa che, dopo avermi risposto cortesemente al telefono, poco dopo mi ha richiamato e mi ha fornito la data. Si è anche resa disponibile ad inviarmi un certificato ufficiale che tuttavia non mi serviva.
Vorrei chiamare questa cosa la meraviglia della normalità.

For a file concerning my mother's recent death, I needed my parents' wedding date

Without too much confidence, I phoned the municipality of San Benedetto and found a wonderful person who, after having answered the phone politely, called me back shortly afterwards and gave me the date. She also made herself available to send me an official certificate which, however, I did not need.
I would like to call this the wonder of normalcy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Una pecca enorme di questa provincia, non da la giusta valorizzazione del patrimonio storico culturale. Luoghi che hanno tanto da offrire, sono praticamente isolati dal turismo. Di conseguenza non offrono granché a quei pochi che cercano scorci di storia anche locale. Considerando che da questi borghi è transitato Dante Alighieri.
