Croce federale offers a great America. Food is good, service nice and prices low. Nothing extraordinary but decent with a nice patio.

Excellent. The meals are fabulous, the hotel rooms are charming. Old monastery chambers. The chef is my friend now.

Pricing....walking The Camino of St. Anthony. Was quoted a price of 75 euros each, for three pilgrims/with breakfast and dinner. While this was more than double of what we paid at other stops, including Venice and bologna, we decided to indulge. The first clue was when we were taken to a set of rooms unattached to the hotel and supplied with earplugs. Dinner was about the same as our previous two nights. Breakfast was the only thing that met expectations...when presented our bill we were charged for our coffee at breakfast and $27 euro for the one bottle of wine we were served at dinner. I would have accepted the 225 euro bill, as we agreed, and been a bit dissappointed. The extra 33 euros, was uncalled for. Especialy a 27 euro bottle of wine for pilgrims.Bad form

Set in the idyllic Italian wooded countryside, Ulma and Massimo's family have made something very special. Regular Italian language courses in the morning and cooking courses/walks in the afternoon. A nature walk was excellent, splendid views and a some foraging advice as you go. Each evening a meal using local produce goes perfectly with this amazing place. Don't worry about the bells they have earplugs! Will be visiting again for certain.

This place is romantic Italy. On the old road to Florence, nestled deep in the hills on the border of Romagna and Tuscany, lies this special hotel/restaurant. The hosts could not be more delightful and hospitable. The welcome, the food, the wine, the building and the village and countryside surrounding it, is what one dreams of when thinking of rural Italy and of the authentic Italian food experience. You can also go truffle hunting or learn to make pasta by hand. Or just sit back and be dazzled by delicious flavours and wonderful execution. Then go for a walk across the old bridge and along the river bank. This place is perfect. A 10/10. One visit and you will be hooked and will dream of your return visit. Well worth the journey to arrive at this kind of paradise. Grazie mille!
