A mill of medieval origins completely renovated and very beautiful to see. Interesting "Vitruvian" water system which is not very common in modern mills. A unique piece, a must visit!

An ancient mill surrounded by nature, recently refurbished but without contamination of modernity. The flour it produces, strictly wholemeal and with ancient wheat varieties, is very good and I recommend everyone to try it !!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A wonderful must-do experience for any visitor to Tuscany. Surrounded by lush greenery, and the soothing sounds of running water, you will find this 800 year old mill. The mill is one of very very few (are there more out there?) that has been continuously operational since the Middle Ages, using ancient "machinery".
Stefano runs a great tour, and speaks excellent English. He showed us how the horizontal mill is powered by the local river. He very carefully sources his grains exclusively from local organic farmers, and the result is top quality fragrant whole grain pastas and flours. Real food!
This is truly a unique experience for all who consider themselves as foodies; for anyone interested in the slow-food movement; for those who value quality artisan produce; and for those interested in sustainability and climate change (only water-power is used - this water is then returned to the river).
This beautiful Mill has a valuable lesson for us all. It's up to us to listen!
