One of the best things I have ever put in my mouth. We've come here 3 days in a row. Though a couple of the staff members speak no English they were FLUENT in chocolate which is a language familiar to us all. I'm not kidding- if you only have a short time in Rome and have to choose between visiting here or the Colosseum... get your chocolate.

I was looking for something to take back to the my co-workers in the states as a remembrance of an amazing 3 weekly holiday in Italy and came across this confetteria in my guide book. It met all my qualifications: needed to be edible, non-perishable, sweet, something one could only purchase in Italy, and not too expensive. Although the last qualification was a bit of a push (at roughly 1€/candy) Moriondo & Gariglio fit the bill. The two female workers spoke English reasonably well and described all the candies so I could better make my selection. They even let my wife and I taste-test some of the pieces and did a beautiful job of gift wrapping the boxes. If you're looking for a classy, sweet present for that special someone or even your friends back home - this is a good choice!

Very cool candy shop. The fruit flavoured candies taste just like the fruits. Chocolates are also their specialty - their gianduia (hazelnut chocolate) have more hazelnut flavours than the ones sold in department stores.

The chocolates are too expensive. Got 12 small pieces for 12 Euros. So could not taste it all. The taste was as good as any other Roman chocolate. May be the fruit chocolates available here would stand out, but I would not rate this place too highly as this is not value for money.

Someone brought back popping sugar balls from this store (no idea what it's called). I don't typically like super-sweet candy, but I loved the fruity flavors and crunch + pop sensation with little bit of sugar syrup inside. They remind me of gushers with better covering to liquid ratio and more interesting texture contrast.

Although this little chocolate shop doesn't have quite the history as the Pantheon which is walking distance from here it still has over a 140 year history in Rome. I walked in there and was overwhelmed by all the different chocolate, I couldn't decide what to get. So I asked the lady at the counter who took the time to explain to me the different varieties of chocolate. She even let us sample a few. After your stop at the Pantheon you must stop in buy a bag of chocolate. They make all the chocolate on site.

This old style, elegant and family-led, cozy "chocolateria" is nestled mid way between Piazza Venezia and the Pantheon, beyond the crazy Via del Plebiscito; it takes you completely away from the hectic traffic and shows you the beauty of a family run business, based on tradition, since decades. All sorts of homemade chocolates, cookies and small sweets (perfect for a dinner present or giveaways!), this sight really makes you feel like a child in a toy shop! I give it a five-star vote, certainly for its quality; not for their attention to the customer, as it all appeared a bit "tired", with lack of primary dedication when entering the shop, although they revealed to be very gentle once engaged by my questions. It's worth a visit and a try of their specialties, hot chocolate in winter and wonderful homemade spoon ice cream in summer.

Delicious and fantastic service. They packed (carefully) special Easter treats to take back to Texas. A+++
