★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dal sagrato del santuario di Montalto, si gode una vista e un panorama che lasciò estasiato anche papa Wojtyla, quando, nel corso della sua visita nella città peloritana, nel giugno del 1988, ebbe modo di conoscere anche questo luogo. Ed è per tenere viva la memoria di quello avvenimento che nel 2014 una statua ad altezza naturale di Giovanni Paolo II è stata posta nel punto esatto dove, posando la mano sulla ringhiera, egli espresse il suo stupore dinanzi a cotanta meraviglia.
From the churchyard of the sanctuary of Montalto, you can enjoy a view and a panorama that left even ecstatic Pope Wojtyla, when, during his visit to the Peloritan city, in June 1988, he also got to know this place.
