★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il sentiero che porta al Monte Pastonico, si snoda per gran parte nelle spettacolari faggete sul fianco della montagna. Arrivati sulla cresta il panorama spazia da Cusano Mutri alla cima del Matese. La cima rocciosa del Pastonico si trova a circa 1640 metri sul livello del mare e col suo omino di vetta domina le valli circostanti, gareggiando per imponenza col famoso Monte Mutria. Una escursione da non lasciarsi sfuggire.

 The path that leads to Monte Pastonico winds for the most part in the spectacular beech woods on the side of the mountain. Once on the ridge, the view extends from Cusano Mutri to the top of the Matese. The rocky peak of Pastonico is located at about 1640 meters above sea level and with its little man on top it dominates the surrounding valleys, competing for grandeur with the famous Monte Mutria. An excursion not to be missed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il monte si raggiunge facilmente con l'auto fino a un certo punto, dove poi si lascia e si prosegue a piedi, partendo anche dalle zone di bocca della selva. Il sentiero è molto molto facile, non impegnativo e poco caratteristico all'inizio. Mano mano che si sale verso la sommità diventa più particolare. È ben tracciato e la zona di arrivo è molto suggestiva, lasciando spazio a una bella veduta su tutti i monti di fronte alla grande vallata.
The mountain is easily reached by car up to a certain point, where it is then left and continued on foot, starting also from the mouth areas of the forest. The path is very easy, not demanding and not very characteristic at the beginning. As you go up towards the top it becomes more particular. It is well marked and the arrival area is very impressive, leaving room for a beautiful view of all the mountains in front of the large valley.
