Unica pecca, molta spazzatura sparsa attorno.
 Paths, steep and challenging, breathtaking landscape towards the northern part overlooking Palermo.
The only flaw, a lot of garbage spread around.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Abbiamo raggiunto il Castellaccio tramite il sentiero sterrato, non proprio manotenuto in ottimo stato ma percorribile. Ne vale la pena perché lo spettacolo di Palermo visto da lassù non ha eguali. Consigliato portare binocolo o attrezzo con zoom. Peccato aver trovato il Castellaccio chiuso. Consigliato per chi fa trekking, non percorribile perfettamente con la tecnica del nordic walking per strettoie e pendenze.
We reached the Castellaccio via the dirt path, not really maintained in excellent condition but passable. It is worth it because the spectacle of Palermo seen from up there is unparalleled. It is recommended to bring binoculars or zoom tools. Too bad we found the Castellaccio closed. Recommended for those who go trekking, not perfectly practicable with the Nordic walking technique due to bottlenecks and slopes.

The views are beautiful and the climb on foot from Monreale, the closed castle (only open on public holidays until 5 pm), but don't miss a lot because it is in ruins. The spectacular view of Palermo

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La manutenzione del sentiero non è recente ma tutto sommato il percorso è accessibile con la dovuta attenzione anche alle famiglie. Non troppo impegnativo a livello fisico, la vista dall'alto ripaga abbondantemente della fatica!
The maintenance of the trail is not recent but all in all the route is accessible with due attention also to families. Not too demanding on a physical level, the view from above repays abundantly of fatigue!
