Obviously, every place you visit has its own characteristics, Montalcino is an enchanting place both in terms of position and for the wonders that it hides and that you find amazing yourself. I recommend it because the peace and beauty of the city and its hinterland are unique. I'm sorry not to write it in a foreign language because for non-Italians who come from cold countries with little history, this is a stage both to magnify Italy and to understand that history is our thing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Montalcino is a beautiful typical Tuscan town. The Fortezza dominates as a tourist attraction. This is a magnificent Castle with a view of the whole city . You can walk along the ramparts , if you're not afraid of heights and view the entire area. There are plenty of wine shops and farms on the outskirts of Montalcino. Parking is in selected areas ,so be careful as the traffic police will give you a fine. Look for the signs which say parking limito and read them carefully.
