L'edificio è a croce latina e si possono ammirare opere d'arte tra cui la cappella del Crocifisso o del Suffragio disegnata da Filippo Nicolis di Robilant e il grande Crocifisso del torinese Giuseppe Giudice. The cathedral was built between 1743 and 1753 on a project by the architect Francesco Gallo, with a fine sandstone facade. The building has a Latin cross shape and you can admire works of art including the chapel of the Crucifix or the Suffragio designed by Filippo Nicolis di Robilant and the great Crucifix by Giuseppe Giudice from Turin.

The Cathedral of Mondovì, dedicated to San Donato di Arezzo, seat of the diocese, is the main church of the city and is located near Piazza Maggiore in the Piazza district; the monumental façade has an imposing portal, surmounted by the statue of San Donato between Charity and Faith; it was built between 1743 and 1753 and is rich in works of art; the interior has a Greek cross and three naves.

Le volte del corridoio hanno affreschi interessanti medioevali, che rappresentano scene della vita di Sant’Antonio da Padova. To my limit, I don't appreciate this overly charged style. On the other hand, I found the cloister open. I took the photos that I am attaching. The vaults of the corridor have interesting medieval frescoes, which represent scenes from the life of Saint Anthony of Padua.

Fa contrasto lo scuro della parte bassa con la luminosità degli affreschi sui soffitti. Spero che le mie immagini prendano il posto delle parole per illustrare la magnificenza di questa Cattedrale. Words are not enough to describe the beauty of this church, full of stuccoes, frescoes and paintings. The darkness of the lower part contrasts with the brightness of the frescoes on the ceilings. I hope my images take the place of words to illustrate the magnificence of this Cathedral.

L'imponente facciata in arenaria mostra un portale sormontato dalla statua di San Donato. Unfortunately I only had to admire this mighty church from the outside as I always found it closed. The imposing sandstone facade shows a portal surmounted by the statue of San Donato.
