Davvero fortemente suggestivo.
Norcia is a town literally disfigured by the 2016 earthquake, the monks from the center moved to the high ground, where they built a temporary wooden church and are renovating an old one in stone. The functions are all officiate in Latin and I must say I have a great following. I attended the "Night Prayer", made at sundown, with two candles at the foot of the Madonna as the only source of light inside the church. Really strongly suggestive.

Niesamowite przeżycie liturgii w rycie łacińskim . Tymczasowy kościół poza Nursją / zburzona bazylika podczas trzęsienia ziemi w 2016 r./.
Amazing liturgy experience in the Latin Rite. Temporary church outside Norcia / basilica demolished during the earthquake in 2016 /.

One of the best experiences of the contemporary Church, a precious pearl. After leaving the old city and the Basilica of St. Benedict, after the earthquake, the Benedictines have followed their true vocation and moved in this convent, a bit 'at a time are rebuilding following the dictates of art 'traditional architecture. The liturgical life follows the traditional rites in Latin, and is always refreshment assist. The Benedictines are foreigners, but very hospitable. Worth a visit to the complex, but not for a fleeting visit, he deserves to be "lived" for a few days: a real refreshment for the spirit

Worth a visit to hear the Gregorian Chant and have a great cultural experience. Check their website for times. And buy their Belgian style ales in town. They are delicious and the proceeds go to a good cause.

What a wonderful place to visit. The Benedictine Monks here at their monastery were very gracious and kind. I met Father Martin, Brother Anthony, Brother Augustine, and a visiting monk, Brother Linus. I briefly met a few other monks but unfortunately can't remember all of their names. I arrived at around 9:15AM to mainly buy their beer just below the hill where the monastery resides. I then walked up the hill to see how the construction of the new temporary monastery was going. There were about 15 volunteers helping with the roof and scaffolding. I attended the 10AM mass on Saturday, and they invited me to lunch. After mass I asked where I could jump in a help with everyone's efforts, and they welcomed my labor with open arms. I was introduced to a few other volunteers who were very gracious and helpful. We moved some roofing materials, and tore down some scaffolding over the next couple hours until the pre-lunch prayer session, then lunch time came. Lunch was a wonderful experience with all of the monks and volunteers in their dining hall. It was interesting to learn that there is a rule of no talking during lunch, but one Brother reads from a book of a historical story about the Benedictine Monks. We had a buffet style lunch which started with spaghetti and small clams, then roasted potatoes along with some roasted peppers, and additionally, some green beans. I learned that the typical diet is vegetarian here, expect for Easter and Christmas where they will eat red meat.... After lunch, I parted ways and checked into my hotel within the old city walls of Norcia. The following morning I attended mass again at 10AM, before I headed out of town to travel back home.... It was a wonderful experience even for being in the area for less than 30 hours. I highly recommend a visit. Plus, on their website you can indicate that you are visiting, and they may be able to make accommodations for you in regards to possibly attending a meal with them. It depends on space and availability. I was an unplanned guest, but they made room. I will surely visit again in the future...
