Il sito ha origini nell'alto medioevo , oggi è in fase di restauro da parte di un eremita polacco che ci vive ed a quanto stanno i racconti dei locali , riceve visite da molti curiosi fedeli da ogni parte d'Italia , affascinati forse per la presenza di un eremita in un eremo sorto a nuova vita , cosa rara di questi tempi . La chiesa è stata restaurata . Vicinissime sono le grotticelle di San Fiorenzo , il santo che visse ed eresse questo eremo , e come narrano gli scritti "Dialugorum " di San Gregorio Magno , sembra che ebbe come amico ed aiutante di pascolo un orso .
Very suggestive and full of charm, as well as full of history. The site has origins in the early Middle Ages, today it is being restored by a Polish hermit who lives there and as the stories of the locals are, receives visits from many curious faithful from every part of Italy, fascinated perhaps by the presence of a hermit in a hermitage born to new life, a rare thing these days. The church has been restored. Very close are the little caves of San Fiorenzo, the saint who lived and erected this hermitage, and as narrated in the writings "Dialugorum" of San Gregorio Magno, it seems that he had as a friend and a grazing helper a bear.
