Molino Maufet è questo! una Fantastica Location che rivive la storia sulle fondamenta di un vero Mulino del 1700 curando i dettagli con l'avanguardia! Un valore aggiunto è dato, sopratutto ,da Claudia e Lorenzo che donano la loro attenzione e cura al cliente. ogni esigenza viene curata nei minimi dettagli! e... pulizia impeccabile ! Sono rimasta entusiasta oltre le mie, nostre aspettative! Grazie ! September 2020 ... Tutto è rimasto immutato grazie al sapiente lavoro di ricerca e restauro di Claudia e Lorenzo, i proprietari. Loro sono degli eccellenti narratori e con i loro racconti oltre a spiegarti come hanno recuperato questo splendido mulino e come funzionava, ti trasmettono la loro passione. ESCI e ritorni ai giorni nostri. Non volendo abbandonare questa splendida favola, inizi a percorrere a piedi l'anello dei mulini per visitarne altri e continuare a sognare. Con tenacia, competenza, entusiasmo e determinazione è stato ripresa una costruzione in pietra distrutta dal tempo, risanata e recuperate alcune parti degli impianti molitori. Le parti mancanti sono state ricostruite esattamente come quelle originarie e i lavori sono in fase di completamento. L'ambiente è fascinoso e solatio col Monte Legnone alle spalle e di fronte l'Alto Lario. Il molino è localizzato ai bordi dell'antico borgo di Villatico, frazione di Colico. Una preziosa struttura che ci parla del nostro passato, una memoria storica di un patrimonio lombardo da far conoscere. Assolutamente da visitare accolti dalla gentilezza e professionalità dei Proprietari. I have made several visits to this jewel of the past which has now been restored to its former glory by a lovely young couple, Lorenzo and Claudia. With tenacity, competence, enthusiasm and determination, a stone building destroyed by time was resumed, restored and some parts of the milling plants recovered. The missing parts have been reconstructed exactly like the original ones and the works are nearing completion. The environment is fascinating and sunny with Monte Legnone behind and in front of the Alto Lario. The mill is located on the edge of the ancient village of Villatico, a hamlet of Colico. A precious structure that speaks to us of our past, a historical memory of a Lombard heritage to be made known. Absolutely to visit welcomed by the kindness and professionalism of the owners.

In quel momento inizia un lavoro appassionato e instancabile di recupero del molino e di ricerca storica negli archivi di stato, nei registri parrocchiali, nei piccoli cimiteri di paese e nella memoria degli anziani. Il restauro è ora terminato e il molino attende solo che l'acqua torni a scorrere nell'antica roggia. Una storia da conoscere. Di certo consiglio una visita, ci saranno da vedere tante curiosità e apprezzare il grande lavoro di riqualificazione,svolto dai proprietari, per riportare in vita e ridare la forma originale di questo rinomato e storico Mulino. Doppia ruota verticale ristrutturata in metallo e completamente funzionante. Al fine di preservare le macine di origine francese sono stati staccati gli ingranaggi che permettono di muoverle quindi non lo potete vedere in azione. Tutto cio é stato reso possibile da una giovane coppia che ha voluto riportare alla luce un pezzo di storia. Particolarita: Nelle macine sono presenti alcuni vecchi giornali sempre di origine francese. L ingresso e la visita é gratuita/donativo e conviene chiamare per prenotare la visita ma ci sn due ingressi disponibili. Noi abbiamo fatto la visita alle 15. Se siete da queste parti ne vale la pena visitarlo insieme agli altri 3 mulini. Mill, brought to light after a renovation that lasted 4 years and was completed a few months ago. The entrance and the visit are free / donative and it is advisable to call to book the visit but there are two entrances available. We made the visit at 3pm. If you are in these parts it is worth visiting it together with the other 3 mills.

They have managed with their own hands to give back to the community something unique, to bring back memories from the past, to show us how simple life used to be back then .. Waking up early in the morning, passing by the near by "Latteria" to get your fresh bottle of milk and delicious "Panna cotta" on your way to the local store to pick up your fresh Ciabatta, saying "Buon Giorno" to the neighbors, coming back and enjoying your coffee ... You should try it out ... but careful, it can be addictive :)) ...
