Internamente affrescata stile barocco con recente intervento di restauro del presbiterio. Presente un organo a canne meccanico di 1100 canne ristrutturato dalla casa organaria Marelli alla fine del 1800. È presente il coro parrocchiale che da 40 anni anima le principali funzioni. Church located in the center of the hamlet of Villatico. Beautiful facade restored to the original colors. Internally frescoed in Baroque style with recent restoration of the presbytery. There is a mechanical pipe organ of 1100 pipes restored by the Marelli organ house at the end of the 1800s. There is a parish choir that has been animating the main functions for 40 years.

All'interno dell'edificio è posto l'altare maggiore con marmo di Varenna risalente al settecento. Pregevoli sono gli affreschi del presbiterio in stile barocco con le tecniche a tromp-oil. Meritevole di attenzione il fonte battesimale, opera del talamonese Roberto Bricalli. In the village of Villatico, in addition to the mills, the basilica church of San Bernardino stands out. M	Mauro Branchini on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ L’ESTERNO La chiesa è rigorosamente orientata verso l’est equinoziale in osservanza alla tradizione più antica. La facciata è imponente e armoniosa. Non è difficile cogliere, fin dal primo sguardo, lo straordinario senso di equilibrio originato dal rigore geometrico al quale si ispirano l’insieme e le singole parti architettoniche. Lesene che lasciano intuire la distribuzione dello spazio interno, il rosone e le rosine laterali, gli archetti pensili che corrono lungo l’intero cornicione e che costituiscono l’unico elemento decorativo delle pareti laterali si rifanno allo stile tipico delle chiese del lago e ancor prima allo stile romanico dell’XI e XII secolo. Al culmine delle lesene statuette di angeli appartenuti alla primitiva chiesa. Da notare la particolare cordonatura dei tre portali culminante in lunette. THE OUTSIDE The church is rigorously oriented towards the equinox east in observance of the most ancient tradition. The facade is imposing and harmonious. It is not difficult to grasp, from the first glance, the extraordinary sense of balance originating from the geometric rigor which inspires the whole and the individual architectural parts. Pilasters that suggest the distribution of the internal space, the rose window and the side roses, the hanging arches that run along the entire cornice and which constitute the only decorative element of the side walls refer to the typical style of the churches of the lake and even before Romanesque style of the 11th and 12th centuries. At the height of the pilasters statuettes of angels that belonged to the primitive church. Note the particular creasing of the three portals culminating in lunettes.
