It could be quite an interesting exhibition, but all descriptions have been completely neglected. You can see that the Vatican Museums treat the culture of other regions neglectfully, which is a pity.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This part of the museum was a bit random and strange, but all the more intriguing due to the surprise factor of it! It is really interesting to see artwork from (for me) less known places and artists!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Renamed "Anima Mundi" (the soul of the World) (L'âme du monde) this discrete museum holds an important ethnological collection of artifacts from across the world.
It is difficult to surmise the content of the collection as there is no database of artifacts available to the public, academia or conservators from respected national institutions.
One must remember that museums only showcase a small percentage of their collection.
A LinkedIn investigation and some articles indicate that it is staffed with conservation, curatorial and cataloguing staff.
With an Indigenous delegation from Canada (March 2022) having an audience with the Pope regarding the atrocities and acculturation brought on by catholic run residential schools, a request to witness collection holdings of artifacts from the Americas has been made.
Transparency of holdings and eventual deaccession of items from the collection would be beneficial to The Church as it would show respect to Peoples from across the world.
I look forward to visiting when it eventually reopens.
