Great architecture, organized and huge train station. Very busy and crowded most of the time. Well maintained and well secured. Good accessibility to all other parts of the city. Frequent trains to Malpensa airport, a good option. Lack of proper waiting area. Struggle is common if you've long waiting hours.

Central Station represents a bridge towards the future. Impressive skyscrapers and new age buildings stretch the skyline with the majestic Unicredit Tower cutting through. Surrounding it are large towers that define Piazza Gae Aulenti, where the fountain and the Monumento Trombe leave one breathless. A famous building of the district is the Vertical Forest, where the innovative materials and trees planted on the terraces are a unique mix of nature and man-made construction. In the district, there is the Monumental Cemetery, known for its antique tombs with sculptures portraying angels of commemorative scenes many will find touching.

One of the most beautiful train stations I have ever been to. Unlike it’s a massive train station, it’s pretty easy to navigate. Really nice architecture and a lot to see besides taking the train.. plenty of shops and places to eat. Definitely worth a visit.

The main train station in Milan, with connection to so many destination. We arrived here from Rome and then went to Tirano to take the Bernina express train. It is possible to buy tickets from here. The gates are slightly confusing though so it's better to arrive slightly ahead of them. Staff were helpful and spoke English.

absolutely beautiful building! lucky enough to have a view of the station fro m the hotel room we stayed in (b&b hotel milano aosta) and so pleased that we could wake up to it each day :) lots of clear signs for people who do not speak the italian language, although i only used it for the metro stations underneath! the plaza was beautiful at night and well lit . it was east to navigate but pre warning about pedestrian crossings in milan!: do not expect cars to give way when the green man light shows!!!! recommend staying in this area due to the fantastic transport links and beautiful architecture

Big city big railway station. Great architecture, but unfortunately everything looks dilapidated and not well maintained. The platforms are announced at the last moment, a lot of people are standing in front of the monitors, waiting for information. quite often crowds of people and occasional crush. There are a lot of homeless people around the station.

My friend and I stayed in the Hotel B&B Aosta right opposite the station (see photo for reference) and we were really pleased with how well-connected to the city we were because of it. Bus transfers from the airport travel straight to the main station, and there are also two metro lines that have stops underneath the station. While we didn’t actually end up using the main train station itself, we spent a lot of time walking through it and past it en-route to our buses and metro lines, and it was very easy to navigate with lots of signs in multiple languages. It’s a very beautiful bit of architecture to stumble upon if nothing else!

This is definitely a busy and bustling place with tens of thousands of people coming through the Central Milan railway station every day. It was relatively easy to follow the signs and find our way through the station, and it is important to pay attention to people around you. While the station was very very busy, everybody was courteous and tried their best to give way to everybody who is hustling to catch any one of the hundreds of trains available per day. There were a lot of food options just inside and outside station. Once you find the exit to the outside Street, the taxi station can be found on the north side of the building.
