★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Seguendo il consiglio di una nostra conoscente abbiamo portato in questo centro la nostra vecchia macchina da cucire guasta (di nota marca italiana) per farla riparare poiché si è bloccata dopo 40 anni di onorato servizio: senza nemmeno trattenerla per capire la causa del problema, e dopo un’ analisi assai sbrigativa al banco, ci hanno sentenziato la morte della macchina adducendo come ipotesi del guasto la rottura di qualche ingranaggio. Ci è quindi stato consigliato di lasciar perdere vista l’età dello strumento e l’ormai accertata irreperibilità dei pezzi di ricambio. Non soddisfatti della prognosi abbiamo deciso di avere un’altra opinione e abbiamo quindi portato la macchina in un altro centro di riparazione autorizzato di Milano: con grande sorpresa la macchina è stata trattenuta e, dopo alcuni giorni, ci è stato comunicato l’esito del controllo. Il blocco del carrello non era dovuto alla rottura di qualche imprecisato ingranaggio bensì dall’accumulo di polvere di cucito, ovvero residui delle migliaia di cuciture fatte nel corso degli anni: con una spesa minima la riparazione è stata effettuata ed ora funziona tutto perfettamente. Lasciamo al lettore trarre le opportune conclusioni.
Following the advice of one of our acquaintances we brought in this center our old sewing machine (known Italian brand) to have it repaired because it is stuck after 40 years of honorable service: without even detaining it to understand the cause of the problem, and after a very hasty analysis at the desk, they sentenced the death of the machine, citing the failure of some gear as a hypothesis of the failure. We have therefore been advised to forget about the age of the instrument and the now proven unavailability of spare parts. Not satisfied with the prognosis we decided to have another opinion and we then brought the car to another authorized repair center in Milan: with great surprise the car was held back and, after a few days, we were informed of the outcome of the control. The blocking of the cart was not due to the breakup of some unspecified gear but from the accumulation of sewing dust, or residues of the thousands of seams made over the years: with a minimum expense the repair was carried out and now everything works perfectly. Let the reader draw the appropriate conclusions.
