Kind of hard to find, because it's a very small shop. Once you get there though you get treated like you were renting a scooter to one of you good friend, they make sure everything is set for you and are very kind. Even tho you could probably find a cheaper place, the whole service with the GPS and all make it well worth your money. I paid 52€ for 4hours with a Vespa 125cc, GPS/Helmet/insurance/taxes included. In that 4hours I got time to reach Chianti which was very nice and gave me a nice trip with a lot of curve and landscapes. Plus the GPS make you take the best way to see the most nice things in one trip, insteed of the fastest way.

My daughter and I had an amazing day riding a Vespa 125 through Tuscany! The scooter was very new - the GPS worked very well - the owners were very friendly and helpful. The most fun we had on our European trip!!

The most amazing Vespa tour of Tuscany! Took this tour and arrived at the office right before it closed for the lunch break but Michele and Sabrina were happy to get us on a bike. I loved having a tour guided by the GPS to show us amazing spots around Tuscany but still allowed us to stop where ever we wanted along the way without being with a group. I highly recommend

This is THE best place to rent a scooter when you're in Florence. Don't even consider anything else. First of all, the customer service is extraordinary. Michele and Sabrina were incredibly kind and very helpful in getting us set up with a Vespa. They have a fabulous business model that separates them from other scooter rental places. Everything you need to drive a scooter is included in their very reasonable FLAT rates. They give you a GPS with preloaded tours and stops that they personally recommend, even places that only locals know about. The rate also includes helmets. The best part is that this isn't a guided tour. You rent the Vespa and you go anywhere and wherever you want. You can take their GPS recommendations (which are perfect) or you can go it your own. Other places will take you on a tour, only show you the typical tourist spots, and charge you more for the rental. In this way, you decide what parts of beautiful Tuscany you want to see. All of their scooters are Vespas (hence the name) and it's obvious they are all well maintained. I can't emphasize enough how you need to forget about renting from anywhere other than MelaVespo. It was the most fun we've had on our 3 week trip to Europe.

This is the BEST place to rent a scooter in Florence hands down. The owner is extremely nice and friendly and the service is amazing. When I arrived I had no time to get coffee and was offered coffee and water. We were showed the basics of operating the Vespa. The self guided tour with the GPS brought us to the nicest place where we had lunch (probably the best lunch in Italy) for only 10€. We stopped every two minutes to take pictures because the views were incredible. The price included two helmets, insurance, and GPS. Would recommend to anyone looking to make their trip memorable. If I am ever back in Florence I will be coming here again.

What a great service! We were welcomed as if we were family. We rented a Vespa scooter (125cc) for 6 hours to explore the Chianti region. The price included the use of a GPS system which made the trip so much more enjoyable. The GPS has multiple different self-guided tours you can do with marked spots of interest where you can stop. We saw other tour groups doing the same tour as us, however, they were slow and could not stop wherever they wanted. Furthermore, there are no hidden costs with MelaVespo as they provide unlimited Km's included in the price and did not charge for an extra passenger. We also saw other 'self-rental' groups on the side of the road looking at their phones as they did not know where to go. The GPS really is a useful tool to make the day stress free. The GPS also tells you where the speed Camera's and fuel stations are. While exploring the Chianti Region we also stopped at several free wine tasting. There are multiple along the route set by the GPS. The region is spectacular and we would really recommend doing it if you are thinking about it.

Our goal: To explore the city of Florence and countryside of Tuscany. Mission accomplished with our newer Vespa from MelaVespo! MelaVespo seemed like the best suited rental in the area for what we wanted to do based on other reviews. We made an appointment online and showed up a little late but the owners said not to worry. They were very welcoming and asked us where we wanted to go. They were able to match our interests with their preloaded routes in a TomTom GPS. Their routes were specifically tailored for a scooter meaning they took us on safe scenic roads (no highways), by important points of interest, and also indicated where the gas stations were. Very very helpful especially for getting around Florence's one way streets and spaghetti layout! They suited us up with helmets, showed us all of the great storage compartments (3 bins) and off we went. We headed south out of town and the first point of interest on the route was Piazzele Michelangelo where we parked up front and got a great view of the city. Then we headed south into the Chianti region along some really fun roads with breathtaking views. Through one of the little towns, we literally ran into an annual Grape Festival so as we turned to avoid the traffic the TomTom GPS rerouted our course and got us going in the right direction. It was so helpful! Then we began stopping at wineries and soon found that most required reservations but we found a few gems that didn't and participated in some memorable wine tours of mom and pop Chianti wineries. We met some other Americans and shared an olive oil tasting with them. As sunset came we decided to head back to Florence and enjoyed our 40 minute ride home in the dusk. It was truly a life memory day being able to feel the wind, the smells (of grape harvest) and the warmth of the sun. No wonder this region is such a gem and the MelaVespo and their reliable scooter made it perfect. I'd highly recommend getting a Vespa from them if you want to explore.

Best experience in Florence! We rented a Vespa for 6 hours and visited wineries in Chianti. Staff was welcoming and even loaded our destinations into the GOS and the scooters were in good shape - we even got to pick our color. Highly recommend doing this.
