Vale la pena farci un salto! There is not much to see, we never found it open to visit the interior, but the area is beautiful and the view of the coast is magnificent! It is worth a visit!
F	Francesco Cataudo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Realizzato interamente in travertino, l'imponente mausoleo venne costruito tra il 1930 ed il 1932 per accogliere le spoglie mortali di Michele Bianchi, primo segretario del partito fascista e successivamente Ministro dei Lavori Pubblici. Esso è formato da una colonna, con scala interna a chiocciola, poggiata su una base quadrangolare che presenta, su tutte le 4 pareti, sculture in rilievo realizzate dal celebre scultore Ercole Drei. Il tutto è poi posizionato su un basamento più ampio che, nel suo interno, contiene la tomba del defunto. L'intero monumento è posto sulla collina Bastia, tutta appositamente ricoperta da cipressi, a 130 metri sul livello del mare, nel comune di Belmonte Calabro, ed è ben visibile dalla costa sottostante. Si può arrivare con l'automobile in soli 5 minuti dalla sottostante Statale 18 Tirrena Inferiore. Inutile sottolineare che il posto vale una visita. Made entirely of travertine, the imposing mausoleum was built between 1930 and 1932 to house the mortal remains of Michele Bianchi, first secretary of the fascist party and later Minister of Public Works. It consists of a column, with an internal spiral staircase, resting on a quadrangular base which presents, on all 4 walls, relief sculptures made by the famous sculptor Ercole Drei. The whole is then positioned on a larger base which, inside, contains the tomb of the deceased. The entire monument is located on the Bastia hill, all specially covered with cypresses, 130 meters above sea level, in the municipality of Belmonte Calabro, and is clearly visible from the coast below. You can arrive by car in just 5 minutes from the underlying Statale 18 Tirrena Inferiore. Needless to say, the place is worth a visit.

Un monumento fantastico, peccato sia poco curato, nascosto e con pochissime informazioni sul luogo. A corner of imperial Rome (from the Fascist era) transplanted to Calabria. A fantastic monument, it is a pity that it is not well cared for, hidden and with very little information on the place.

Si possono apprezzare iscrizioni e simboli del periodo, miracolosamente non devastati completamente da vandali iconoclasti e avvoltoi dell'Anpi. Vale la visita, fintanto che quest'ultimi non vi metteranno le mani sopra. Fascinating place, and majestic mausoleum dedicated to Michele Bianchi, a Calabrian politician who represented a leading figure of the early twenties, primarily in the role of minister of public works. You can appreciate inscriptions and symbols of the period, miraculously not completely devastated by iconoclastic vandals and vultures of the Anpi. It's worth the visit, as long as they don't get their hands on it.

Decisamente pericoloso, lo sconsiglio ai bambini. Panorama mozzafiato. Regardless of political considerations, the monument, in itself quite majestic, gave me a feeling of desolation, of abandonment, despite the greenery around it seemed well-kept. La colonna è alta trentacinque metri e nel suo interno si trova una scala a chiocciola che porta ad una terrazzina, dalla quale si gode un vasto e meraviglioso panorama. La colonna è sormontata da una croce che, illuminata prima della seconda guerra mondiale, serviva da faro. La base della colonna, di forma cubica, contiene nel suo interno il sarcofago in marmo verde di Belmonte, che accoglie le spoglie di Michele Bianchi. Sui quattro lati della base si possono ammirare quattro altorilievi in travertino, dello scultore Ercole Drei. Al monumento si accede da un ampio piazzale, per una lunga scalinata.
