O	Oreste Casciaro on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bellissima masseria fortificata risalente al XV secolo, situata a pochi km da Otranto, vicina a Torre Sant'Emiliano. Da qui si gode di un panorama meraviglioso! Purtroppo è in forte pericolo di crollo, protagonista di alcune scene del film "Le mine vaganti" di Ferzan Ozpetek, non viene effettuato nessun intervento di manutenzione dal lontano 2010, davvero un grandissimo peccato!!! Beautiful fortified farmhouse dating back to the 15th century, located a few km from Otranto, near Torre Sant'Emiliano. From here you can enjoy a wonderful view! Unfortunately it is in great danger of collapse, the protagonist of some scenes of the movie "Le mine vaganti" by Ferzan Ozpetek, no maintenance has been carried out since 2010, a really great pity !!!

Peccato il totale degrado abbandono e saccheggio dei manufatti in pietra leccese, incluso lo stemma della famiglia proprietaria che era posto sopra al portale di accesso al piano superiore. Caratteristica la cappella inserita all'interno dell'Aia antistante la struttura primaria. Ne raccomando la visita . All the charm of rural reality. È abbandonata e sta andando in rovina poco a poco, la speranza è che qualcuno con un progetto serio la rilevi riportandola agli antichi splendori. Ancient isolated farmhouse in the countryside not far from the road that connects Otranto to Porto Badisco. It is abandoned and it is going to ruin little by little, the hope is that someone with a serious project will take it back to its former glory.

Attenti ad arrivarci in macchina, poiché la strada non è altro che una viuzza di campagna piena di pietre (caratteristica del terreno della zona). Regalatevi una passeggiata. In più se ci andate con la nebbia di prima mattina nei mesi freddi, sembra quasi di essere in Scozia. Superb ancient Salento farmhouse. I recommend the visit, respecting the nature that surrounds it. Be careful to get there by car, as the road is nothing more than a country lane full of stones (characteristic of the area's terrain). Give yourself a walk. Plus if you go there in the early morning fog in the cold months, it almost feels like you're in Scotland.
