Ci ha dato le chiavi per accedere alla torre, che è un luogo che ti lascia a bocca aperta per la sua bellezza e unicità. A unique place of its kind. Una piccola oasi scavata nella roccia (ricorda molto il tufo), con cellette che nei secoli sono state utilizzate da tante società diverse, dagli antichi abitanti del Salento, ai monaci devoti a San Basilio (i c.d. "Basiliani"). Consiglio di evitare giornate di pioggia o comunque brutto tempo. J	Joram Schito on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Magic messapian place. Caves built in supple limestone (it is not vulcanic tuff as many italians falsely call it). The purpose of the place is not fully clear. What is known is that the messapians built the main tunnel and the main cave (there are also other caves in this area) and monks in the medieval extended it by chasing sheds into the wall. One hypothesis says that they represent a pigeonry, however, this has not been proved yet.
