Very impressing and historic column built by the ancient romans. It's worth a visit!

Twenty spirals on the 30 m high column show Marcus Aurelius victories over the barbarian tribes. The reliefs are so vivid and dynamic and they deserve your full attention. In 1588. the emperor's statue on the top of the column was replaced by a bronze one of St. Paul.

This place is one of the less visited in Roma but I adore it.... the column is simple magnificent. I wish I’m available to describe all the prints in the column. This is a perfect square to seat and relax Entrance free

The great column of the famous Roman Emperor, but it's to sad we couldn't see original statue of Emperor who was replaced by Pope. If we take a look on the main part of column we can see many fascinating reliefs of glorious roman legionaries and their victories! Highly recommended for visiting!

A world history monument that should deserve more respect from authorities: restoration, publicity, a better design place around the monument.

Not much for me to say other that, this is a beautiful pointy marble monument. It’s huge. It’s old. It’s gorgeous. I would definitely enjoy sitting on a bench, looking at this thing while eating day old pizza and having a cold beer. Maybe a Heineken, but who knows. The sky is mostly blue in Rome, and the thought of those things combined with a stone hard Phallos symbol is enough to make someone’s day I’m sure. Some say this column is from the 2nd century. THAT’S OLD! If someone were to order a column today they would probably just order it from Alibaba or something… pfff Stone, sweat and tears, that’s a recipe for a marvelous piece of history. ?? Five stars.

Our next stop was a short walk away - Marcus Aurelius's Column - in a cordoned off square. This was another amazingly detailed column that the emperors used to celebrate a particular campaign and they are now useful to historians to see what the Roman military and it's enemies looked like in a particular time period. The square had a military guard so I'm not sure what else was there.
