Delicious and big plate of cheese with lovely wine. Also the waiter was very friendly. Can only recommend a visit there!

A truly special place in Rome. You can get a decent meal almost anywhere in this city, but Makasar is one of kind. Their menu is unique (not the typical 5 dishes of pasta you see at every restaurant in Rome), the food is fresh and light, and the owners Marco and Federica are genuinely amazing people committed to making your experience at Makasar an excellent one. I personally love their bruschetta options. The Gorgonzola, walnut and honey bruschetta in particular is delicious. Finally, their tea selection is incredible. They import it from all over the world. It’s a cozy, lovely place to eat, drink, and enjoy. You won’t regret coming here.

Everything we ordered for lunch was excellent. The mozzarella cheese was outstanding and the tirumisu was delicious.

We’ve had the most amazing experience at Federica and Marco’s bistro. Their unique tea selection, fresh drinks and delicious food made for an unforgettable evening. Best truffle bruschetta I’ve ever had.

This is an amazing restaurant. Federica and Marco are unbelievably nice and welcoming. The food is really fresh, the teas are delicious and the cocktails too! It’s a place to go to any time of the day. It’s in a touristic area but it’s genuinely roman and anything you ask for, you’ll be served with love and attention. It really is a hidden gem! Highly recommend to all. Especially the tiramisu!!!!

Excellent small restaurant/bar in the alleyways between St Peter's Square and Castel Sant'Angelo with a bright yellow interior and eclectic furnishings. We loved the layout. We visited on a weekday afternoon when we were the only ones in there and had great hospitality from the bartender. Bruschetta came in 6 tiny portions and looked stunning (see photos) and we had 2 glasses of well-made Aperol Spritz. This was followed by a lasagne each - unlike back home, these were made of light thin pasta layers between tasty meat/vegetable fillings. All came to 47 euros total and it was well worth it.

Italy is not really a tea country, nor is Rome the place for tea drinkers but… this is one of the best tea rooms in the world. The selection of teas in tins on the shelves is truly global. It’s like a smaller version of the Twining’s shop in Leicester Square…

Two thumbs up! The staff were incredibly kind, and detailed. The menu has so many options - there is something for everyone! The environment was so relaxing and warm, unlike many busy places in Rome. The walls are covered in books that you can also read or buy. Great for a date night, tea by yourself, or a small group. Highly recommend!
