Don’t miss this place if your nearby. Leon’s winemaking skill far exceeds so many. While doing all his own winemaking, and trying to be completely carbon neutral. Add to that, someone who is kind and amazingly accommodating. We experienced literally a personal tour, just two of us, on a slow Monday in Oriveto. His service was only surpassed by his wine making skill. He has and will continue to produce great wine; he is undoubtedly a future wine influencer.

we had a great time with Leon. It was an interesting experience, we learned a lot about the manner wine is produced and how the barrels and the weather does have an essential impact on the flavour and taste of the wine. The tour wasnt too long and we had a great time tasting the wine for like an hour after the tour. At the end we even got offered some cheese and ham. Id recommend the experience for sure. HI

What an incredible experience it is visiting Madonna del Latte. Leon is an incredible tour guide, he is incredible passionate about his vineyard and it was very interesting learning about the different wines we tasted and visiting the cellar. It was hard to pick a favourite wine as they were all so good and we ended up ordering some (it was delivered just as we arrived home from our trip to Italy - such great service!) Another highlight was the goats cheese from a neighbouring farm and the delicious homemade bread, that we enjoyed plenty of!

As my wife Elena said, we absolutely loved our experience at this beautiful winery and meeting Leon. The wines (and olive oil) have now arrived and we can’t wait to get started :)

While visiting our daughter studying in Rome this past November, we decided to grab a car for a day and drive out to Orvieto. I did a quick online search to see if there were any wineries along the way and found Madonna del Latte. I am an Italy travel specialist and have been to hundreds of wineries in Italy and across Europe for tours and tastings so I didn't think too much about it. The drive off the highway up to the winery was gorgeous and for that alone I was grateful. When we arrived, Leon greeted us in front of the property and gave us a tour of the grounds. Here we got some background on what is normally produced in this region, some information on how his family came to make wines here, and what they are doing with their own winemaking. Fascinating information combined with gorgeous vistas made for a nice stroll around the vineyards. Once inside we found that the property was built over Etruscan tombs where barrels are now housed making for a very special tour. Even before we tasted the wines, this property was already becoming on of my very favorite winery visits of all time. Then we got to taste the wines. All of them incredible. We ended up purchasing 18 bottles shipping home 12 and carrying 6. We received the shipment about 2 weeks later. Leon and his family clearly are only interested in making special wines full of character and quality. We will be serving a few of these wines tomorrow night for Christmas eve dinner. I am grateful for this incredible find and would encourage ANYONE in the area making an appointment for a visit. We visited this beautiful winery whilst staying in Orvieto and it was most definitely a highlight of our trip. Leon was extremely welcoming and his passion, dedication and love for wine is evident immediately. The vineyards, the cellar, the whole place is just stunning. You’re surrounded by beauty all around. Then onto the wines themselves, well it’s very hard to describe just how special these were- just don’t miss out on this experience. My absolute favorite is the white Viognier! (I think that’s the spelling) Thank you Leon, we eagerly await our shipment so that we will get to taste your wines again!…. We will surely be back. ?

Leon was a fantastic host. Kind and welcoming. The vineyard was gorgeous with some great views all around, and the wine cellar has a little bit of fun history behind it. The wines, meats, and cheeses in the outdoor seating area ended the trip on a lovely note. Would recommend to anyone.
