Dopo aver rivissuto qualche ora fra la suggestiva atmosfera religiosa della basilica e quella medievale che si percepisce nelle sale dell'abbazia imperiale e nella biblioteca, ci siamo concessi un meritato stop gastronomico dai Lupi. Semplicità, accuratezza, accoglienza e gentilezza distinguono la gestione di questa trattoria nel borgo, cuore della Sabina. Buon cibo, buon prezzo, buon servizio. Today we found ourselves in Farfa for a religious journey in a jubilee key. After reliving a few hours between the suggestive religious atmosphere of the basilica and the medieval one that can be perceived in the halls of the imperial abbey and in the library, we allowed ourselves a well-deserved gastronomic stop by the Wolves. Simplicity, accuracy, hospitality and kindness distinguish the management of this trattoria in the village, the heart of Sabina. Good food, good price, good service.

Chiuso il mercoledì... Posto da visitare molto tranquillo, lo consiglio sia il luogo dell'abbazia che il locale. Piatti semplici ma che richiamano i gusti generosi di un tempo, come, ad esempio, oggi gli gnocchi al ragù di pecora ! A visit to Lupi during the episodes in Farfa has become a custom. Intendiamoci, non c'é qualcosa di veramente scadente, ma non c'é nulla di memorabile...purtroppo Tutto molto, troppo nella media. Mi sarei aspettato un menú piú rustico ed accattivante, invece no. É un peccato considerando la cornice nella quale si trova la trattoria. I prezzi sono nella media anche quelli, ma le porzioni sono un pochino risicate, specialmente per i secondi piatti. Impegnandosi un po di piú nell'elaborazione del menú (non servono cose fantascientifiche), alzando un pochino l'asticella della creatività e della qualità dei piatti (partendo dagli antipasti), potrebbero conquistare una dimensione decisamente diversa. Ripeto, il luogo nel quale si trovano é un borgo incantevole, la terrazza esterna é molto bella e fresca anche nelle giornate piú calde ed il personale é molto gentile. Dovendo dare un voto "scolastico", darei un 6 politico. If you don't have too many pretensions, it is a restaurant where you can go. La griglia con una bella brace è la caratteristica del locale. Buoni i primi e naturalmente la carne alla griglia. Posto ideale per la gita fuori città. Right in the center of the characteristic village of Farfa. Large internal room and equally large outdoor space. The grill with a nice embers is the hallmark of the place. Good first courses and of course the grilled meat. Ideal place for a trip out of town.
