N	Nadia Petrozzi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Abbazia di Santa Maria di Farfa è un Monastero dei Benedettini. Si trova nel Reatino ( Fara in Sabina.) Stile Barocco. Un Abbazia Imperiale, svincolata dal controllo pontificio. Fu fondata tra 560 e 570. D Lorenzo vescovo di Forum Novum. Carlo Magno vi sosto' poche settimane prima di essere incoronato in San Pietro:il 25 dicembre 800. Nel 1861 il a conte Giuseppe Volpi donò proprietà e alcuni terreni al Monastero. Nel 1928 è stata dichiarata Monumento Nazionale. Nel 1861 parte dei beni sono stati venduti a privati cittadini. Un agglomerato di case e antichi negozi artigianali lo contornano. . Graziosissimo! Erboristerie. Dolci. È annessa all'interno la biblioteca statale dove si trovano manoscritti, codici etc.. antichi scritti. Attorno al Chiostro sono esposti molti pezzi di struttura medievale. E fra questi la lapide dell'Abbate Sicardo. L'artista Emanuele Luzzati ha installato un esposizione con 12 scene e antichi scritti del monaco Gregorio da Catino. Il Borgo abitato da poche decine di persone è. . Molto Pittorescooo! Da non perdere! Intorno al l'Abbazia prati immensi con possibilità di sedersi a mangiare sulle panche di legno apposite.. Purtroppo le pitture sono un po' sofferenti e avrebbero bisogno di restauri. The abbey is magnificent: a real treasure chest! It is also heated, so it can be visited in all seasons. Unfortunately the paintings are a bit painful and need restoration.
S	Sonia Cruz on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Una magnifica Abbazia con i suoi affreschi e mosaici del secolo VI, fondata dai monaci e molto bene conservati, detta "Imperiale" che visse il massimo splendore tra il VIII e il XII secolo grazie alla protezione di Carlomagno e dei suoi successori. Non potreste mancare per lo meno una volta la visita, rimareste incantati per tanta bellezza! Immersa nel verde della sabina in mezzo ai olivi e pini, con tanti di visita pure al piccolo borgo con le sue botteghe antiche, mercatino e se volete potete pure mangiare in trattoria e/pizzeria e passare una giornata diversa del solito e uscire piu tranquilli e leggere dopo questa visita. g	gabriele santori on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Posti stupendi sopratutto nel periodo natalizio, consiglio la visita guidata dove viene spiegata la storia del luogo. Beautiful places especially during the Christmas period, I recommend the guided tour where the history of the place is explained.

Dell'abbazia, al chiostro, passando per la biblioteca interna e i resti delle torri caroligie Beautiful Abbey surrounded by greenery. Possibility inside to buy local products or to take a guided tour (recommended) for € 5 of the whole monastery. Of the abbey, to the cloister, passing through the internal library and the remains of the Caroligian towers
