 Friendly and helpful staff, good food and generous portions. Homemade pasta and delicious grilled lamb. The waitress also offered us the bitters. Recommended

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ottimo ristorante nel centro di Sulmona, in stile locanda medievale. Ottime le proposte della cucina, personalmente ho provato dal prosciutto di cinghiale, ai ravioli, agli arrosticini. Tutto molto buono, in più il personale è gentile e accogliente. Consigliatissimo!!!
Excellent restaurant in the center of Sulmona, in a medieval inn style. Excellent dishes from the kitchen, I personally tried wild boar ham, ravioli, kebabs. All very good, plus the staff are friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended !!!

Primo piatto tagliatelle con porcini, un po' incollate e piatto non grande. Secondo di arrosticini invece buonissimo, consigliati.
Nice place, fast service. It is very "at home" but the food is quite good.
First course tagliatelle with porcini, a little glued and not large plate. Second of kebabs, on the other hand, very good, recommended.

Purtroppo il locale era vuoto, le luci delle sale spente e il riscaldamento mancava, c'era solo una stufetta accesa... Diciamo che non c'era atmosfera, ma in compenso abbiamo avuto un servizio rapidissimo!!
Really good food and wine!
Unfortunately the room was empty, the lights of the rooms turned off and the heating was missing, there was only a heater turned on ... let's say that there was no atmosphere, but on the other hand we had a very fast service !!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s hard to get a bad meal in Italy… unless you eat at a bar. And Locanda Medievale is A BAR.
We were here and nothing else was open/avail on a Sunday evening, so we made do.
Plan better - make an rsvp elsewhere.
Otherwise the wine, location and hospitality were great, but the food was below average.
Bread was not good, I had the white pork and it was tough and dry. The house wine was good and a bargain. The tiramisu was good.
