★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hard to find place, but recommended by locals for a very good reason. The location has a very cozy atmosphere and is very well maintained. The food is incredibly good. The pizza Vulcano really made me want to come back to try the rest of the menu.
The staff speaks a little bit of English. This is handy for those usually relying on Google Translate, because you don’t have mobile internet inside the building.
However, be careful when following Google Maps! The (currently) default route from Giarratana leads you over roads that are only accessible with a big 4WD. The right way to get to the restaurant is by taking a right just after leaving Giarratana on the SS194 and then following the signs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My partner and I are just back from a wonderful stay at Locanda Angelica. The stunning surroundings, peaceful garden, lovely cottage and last but not least the hospitality of the entire family made our holiday a very special one!
Already when booking directly with the accommodation the daughter Ariana has been very helpful and accommodating.
We had initially booked for one week and decided after a few days to extend our stay here, as it was simply everything we wished for.
We were traveling with our dog, and he was welcomed warmly by the whole family who have dogs themselves. A splendid place to bring your furry friend!
Our stay was in November and we were blessed with lovely weather on most days, but even rainy days were enjoyable inside our cosy cottage.
The cottages are well equipped with modern furnishing. Also the food at the restaurant on site is great (many options for a gluten free diet if applicable for you)!
The area around Giarratana has as lot to offer, especially if you enjoy the outdoors: forests, rivers, canyons and lovely villages are reachable in less than an hour by car. November is a quiet time in Sicily, and we very much enjoyed the peace and quiet at this time of year.
We discovered a little paradise, and will definitely be back!!
