Mi stavano vendendo una vettura di dubbia provenienza dove non si sapeva la provenienza del motore che era stato sostituito con uno nuovo.
Alla mia richiesta di eventuale documentazione che ne garantisse la provenienza lecita hanno iniziato con una serie di bugie veramente imbarazzanti arrivandomi a dire che la fabbrica della fiat era stata dismessa, ma non ricordavano neanche il luogo dove fosse.

They were selling me a car of dubious origin where the origin of the engine was not known, which had been replaced with a new one.
At my request for any documentation that would guarantee its lawful origin, they started with a series of really embarrassing lies, going so far as to say that the fiat factory had been abandoned, but they didn't even remember the place where it was.
