Si trovano sopratutto famiglie con bambini ed anziani, perché vi è un agevole accesso al mare dotato di scivola e piccola spiaggetta (Augusta ha accessi al mare prevalentemente dagli scogli). L'acqua è torbida a causa dell'intenso traffico dei natanti, mentre le correnti marine risultano essere fredde a volte.
