Le Vere Grotte ristorante di Enzo dal 1980

Molto carino!!! Accogliente, ideale per cenare in allegria, con musica a tutto volume! Pesce veramente ottimo! Le sale con le grotte tra l 'altro sono molto suggestive.

The staff is very friendly, the food delicious and the decor + atmosphere is something special. You can have a romantic dinner in a real cave dating from hundreds of years.

My girlfriend and I just ate here (14-10-2018) having heard good things about this restaurant. We got some bread and water without asking and a Prosecco. Since we are doing a grand tour of Italy we've seen this offer from the house before (only now they charged us afterwards for it...) We ordered a fritto misto as a starter (assorted fried fish) with calamari and prawns. The calamari were underseasoned but tasty and we just added some salt. The prawns were fried with the Shell and intestines still on/in which tastes absolutely horrible. Halfway through the starter we already got our mains with the starter still on the table. My girlfriend ordered pasta caccio e pepe which was just ok and I ordered a steak medium rare with porcini mushrooms. My steak was medium well to well done and the porcini had sand in them. Now I've been in the hospitality industry almost my entire life and have been an owner of a restaurant for 2,5 years. We complained about the issues above as we believe you should give the restaurant a chance to fix the mistakes and not just hide on the internet and write a bad review. The mistakes mentioned above were not unintentional but just the works of a lazy chef who didn't clean the prawns and porcini and they didn't fix it but just gave us attitude. So here is the result, my first negative review in 10 years of being in hospitality. The worst experience we've had so far... I really feel ripped off and would strongly recommend everybody to just go somewhere else!

We celebrated new year's eve here and it was fantastic in every way.
