The cook was nice and the food really tasty! Also the waiters in the restaurant... they were friendly!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel itself is beautiful, rooms are clean and cosy, the surrounding views are simply breathtaking. The beach is located right next to the swimming pool.
As for the food, it’s okay. There’s not a lot of choice but it’s certainly tasty. The only bad part is breakfast, they serve the same things every day and practically no vegetables.
So why such poor rating? The neighborhood is pretty windy, which the owners of the hotel should be well aware of. Nevertheless, the beach umbrellas are not prepared to withstand the wind, so the lifeguard closes them all the time, claiming that leaving them open would be dangerous. While I agree that flying umbrellas pose a safety threat, I think that so does heat stroke. As it is, guests have no choice but to stay in direct sunlight all day or go looking for very limited shade in the pool area. The only shade there is from the palm trees- definitely not enough protection from the sun.
Of course it’s not the most expensive hotel on Earth, but, for the kind pf money you spend to be there one would expect a comfortable holiday and not trying desperately not to get sunburnt. I suggest the hotel invests in better umbrellas, like the ones in tropical locations, which are not affected by strong wind.
