★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am from Montréal and my Italian is not that great but this place made it so easy! I am a huge wine fan and MOST of my favorite ones were here. Good prices, amazing service, great ambiance, not touristic. Would come back here everyday if I could!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Le Cicale Bistrot in located in the rather chic neighborhood of Albaro and my aperitivo place of choice right now. It's situated on a lazy looking piazza in the shade of a rather pretty church tower. Chairs and tables outside probably take up half of the sidewalk however you could choose to eat indoors, I haven't actually had any food here expect for the generous aperitivo snacks but I can vouch that the cocktails and wine menu is truly excellent. It seems to be a popular aperitivo hang-out for a more local Albaro crowd which are more well to do than other areas of Genova.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Charming restaurant with lots of shaded outdoor seating. The relatively small menu is designed to please a wide range of tastes whilst keeping the quality of food high. The trofie al pesto were especially delicious!
