At first the idea of buying property in Italy was a bit daunting, but with the help of Lakeside Real Estate (100% fluent in English), our dream of owning an apartment in Lake Como, Italy became a reality. They had a detailed and hands-on approach from the start and a willingness to assist with all our queries and concerns. They helped us open a bank account and assist with all the necessary paperwork, which assured a very smooth transaction.
They have also continued to assist us afterwards with their local expertise, including service providers recommendations and ensuring the upkeep and management of our new property while we are based in South Africa.
We will definitely recommend Lakeside Real Estate for any property deal in Italy and if we ever need an estate agent again, we will use Lakeside Real Estate!

We have just completed the purchase of a villa in Tremezzo from Shanghai. Due to the pandemic travel restrictions we have been unable to visit and therefore the whole process has been done remotely. From the initial video tour of the property Sara and her team have done an amazing job of keeping us involved and informed with video calls. We have felt very secure during the entire process due to Sara's expertise and can do attitude. Making such a major purchase in a foreign country on the internet could have been a very daunting project but Sara and her team at Lakeside made sure that everything ran smoothly. Even after the sale completed they continue to assist us with getting utilities connected, finding tradesmen, security etc. I have really enjoyed working with them.

From the beginning the team were always available to answer any questions either by phone or email. The team supported us to understand what Italian government documents were required and what we needed to provide which was a huge relief when purchasing property internationally. Even after we finalised the purchase of our apartment, the team supported us getting all the utilities, rubbish, council tax, and internet set up which was a huge help!
I honestly cannot recommend Lakeside enough. Thanks Sara, Elisa, and Vittoria!!
